Hi Class! Did you ever run out of time to do something? You really wanted to do it, but there just wasnt time? Chances are if you had managed your time more efficiently, you could have had the time. When you get to college, your ability to manage your time could determine whether or not you will be successful. Todays chapter is on Time Management. It is written as though you had just started college, and since youll be starting college in a few months anyway, you can just pretend. Its excellent information, I think youll have fun reading it, and the suggestions could help you in high school too. Todays author is a student who manages his time as well as anyone Ive ever known. His name is Kyle Holmes.
When this was written, Kyle Holmes was a junior chemical engineering major from Dallas, Texas. Besides being a glutton for academic punishment, he enjoys basketball, reading, martial arts, writing, collecting comic books, and playing with his German Shepherd, Blitz. Kyle also has the honor of being a triplet, and his two sisters both attended college in Texas. Kyle is now a professional engineer working in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and making tons of money.

TIME
MANAGEMENT
Congratulations! You made it to college, and I think that your current thoughts would fall
somewhere in the following categories:
1) Wow, there's so much to see and do, I have to get ready for classes but I want to find
out where all the parties are, too!
2) Hey, I'm excited to be here, but what the heck am I supposed to do now?
3) I'm scared out of my mind. Please help me.
4) Where's the bathroom?
I've written this essay in order to give out some of the hints that I think can really
make the difference between experiencing college
life and enduring college life. Let's face it, we're all here to learn, and we're also
here to meet new people and have as much fun as
we can (and yes, finding the bathroom is going to be an integral part of that college
experience). Some of us will strive to have more
fun than others, but the bottom line is that you have to take care of your grades.
I will begin by making a statement:
Doing well in college has very little to do with your raw intelligence.
