Individuals newly engaged by formal Board action subsequent to July 14, 1988, to serve either as a president of an institution under the governing jurisdiction of the Board or as the Board of Regents' Executive Secretary are ineligible to participate or receive benefits under the Special Retirement Policies for Presidents and the Board of Regents Chief Executive Officer (Executive Secretary) as otherwise previously authorized by duly adopted Board actions.

Institutional presidents engaged prior to July 14, 1988, may continue eligibility for benefits under the Special Retirement Policies for presidents should any of them be transferred or reassigned to any eligible position referenced in said Special Retirement Policies.
