The payment of honorariums from institutional funds to state officials or state employees to speak or appear at a campus event must be approved by the Board prior to extending the invitation. Any such request should be presented to the Board at least five days prior to a regular meeting of the Board. The final payment must be approved in keeping with the Board's formal procedure for approving claims.
