Complete the appropriate CASNR on-line scholarship application to qualify for College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources (CASNR) scholarships. The continuing and graduate student scholarship applications deadline is January 15 by midnight. This site also contains useful information to other links and scholarship opportunities.

Prospective freshman should complete the OSU Freshman Scholarship Application included in the application for admissions packet. More information can be found on the CASNR scholarship application website. Click on "Scholarships" then select prospective freshman. The deadline is February 1.

Gates Millennium Scholars Program

• Sophomore and Juniors should have at least a 3.70 GPA and be a United States Citizen.
Students must demonstrate strong leadership skills and express themselves effectively in writing and by speaking on topics of personal and public interest.

• Sophormore is defined as a student who plans 2 more years of full0time undergraduate study beginning September 2008 & Junior is one who plans one more year of full-time undergraduate study beginning September 2008.

• Lahoma Club, an organization of faculty wives and women faculty and staff at OSU. continues to offer several $500 scholarships to men and women each year. These scholarships are awarded at the beginning of Spring Semester to selected OSU undergraduates.

Perennial Plant Association Scholarship (Click on Education, then click on Scholarship)

• Deadline: March 2008, application available in November.
• Student should be majoring or minoring in horticulture or a related field with a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
• Student should have at least one quarter or semester remaiing following spring term.
• Recipients must attend the 2007 Perennial Plant Symposium.
• An interest in a career in perennials is preferred but not required.

• LA and LC majors deadline December 3, 2007.
• Applicants must be enrolled at a college or university that has an accredited PLANET Landscape Contracting Curriculum and/or has a PLANET Student Chapter Membership or is a participating PLANET Student Career Days School.

• This non-repeating scholarship is available to undergraduate (Jr. or Sr.) and technical college (2nd year) students pursuing a career in Commercial Arboriculture.
• Scholarship amounts are $3,000 awarded 1/2 each semester of the school year.
• Requirements: Students must be Tree Care Industry Association student member or Student Society of Arboriculture member, Advisor referral and 3.0 GPA.

• Preference will be given to those applicants who plan to work in any aspect of the industry (including owning their own business) following graduation and those in financial need.

• This year (2008) WESTERN is selecting students from Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska for a scholarship. Deadline is October 1.

• Each year the WESTERN awards six scholarships to students in the horticulture field. The recipients receive an all-expense-paid trip to the ANLA Management Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky. Students attending colleges in the five-state area and working on a horticulture degree are eligible. Scholarships are given to one student from each of the five states, with the sixth given to an outstanding student in any state. The scholarship will be awarded to someone in Oklahoma in 2011.
