Program:A study abroad program has been established to support exchange of horticultural students with the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, Hogeschool Delft, the Royal Danish Veterinary and Agricultural University, and the University of Hannover. Students will enroll in at least 12 credit hours of course work and participate in either 1) a special project course (thesis) while in residence at a partner institution or 2) practical training (internship) at a horticultural business. A minimum 6 month study abroad is recommended.
Eligibility:Any current OSU horticulture student, undergraduate or graduate, in good academic standing, who has completed the sophomore year. Participating students will receive a $3,000 grant to help cover airfare, room/board while overseas, and other program-related expenses.
Costs:Students pay full-time tuition and fees at OSU (tuition will be waived at the hosting university). Students are responsible for roundtrip airfare and room/board at the hosting university (usually same or less than OSU). Students pay a program fee of $175/semester that covers required health insurance and an international student ID card. Students are also responsible for obtaining a passport ($60), incidental expenses, and optional post-program travel.
Credit:Students will earn a minimum of 12 credit hours; all credits are fully transferable to Oklahoma State University.
